Omar James joins the South Plains College men’s track and field team as a freshman for the 2025–2026 season, competing in the 200m and 400m. A native of Mackenzie, Linden, Guyana, Omar is the U18 200m record holder and a National Champion, showcasing his speed and competitive talent.

His goals include winning nationals with a new personal best while pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy, continuing to develop as a sprinter and student-athlete at South Plains College.
