Kahllah Bailey returns to the South Plains College women’s track and field team as a sophomore for the 2025–2026 season, competing in the shot put, discus, and hammer throw. A graduate of Excelsior High School in Jamaica, Kahllah had an outstanding prep career, finishing 1st at the National High School Championships and placing 3rd at the Senior National Championships in the hammer throw.
At South Plains College, she is pursuing a degree in Pre-Med / Biomedical Sciences with ambitions to improve her marks and represent her country on the international stage. Kahllah is dedicated to excelling both academically and athletically as she continues to develop as a top field event athlete.

South Plains College Track and Field delivered an impressive showing at the Masked Rider Open on March 26 in Lubbock, highlighted by multiple event wins and a growing list of national qualifying marks.
The South Plains College Texans and Lady Texans wrapped up the 2026 indoor track and field season at the NJCAA National Championships in Topeka, Kansas. The Texans finished 5th overall with 58 points, while the Lady Texans placed 6th with 55.5 points, highlighted by national champions, podium finishes, and numerous scoring performances.
Entering the championship meet, the Texans are ranked No. 2 in the nation, while the Lady Texans sit at No. 7 nationally, positioning both programs among the country’s elite heading into the final showdown of the indoor season.
The South Plains College Lady Texans continued their indoor campaign at the Jarvis Scott Invite hosted by Texas Tech University, turning in multiple top finishes while solidifying their national-qualifying marks with one meet remaining before the Indoor National Championships.
The South Plains College Lady Texans traveled to College Station on February 6–7 to compete in the Charlie Thomas Invitational, continuing their indoor season against a competitive field while adding to their list of national-qualifying performances.
The South Plains College Lady Texans competed in their second indoor meet of the season at the Stan Scott Invite and turned in another strong performance with several top finishes and national-qualifying marks.
