Katie Jo Knez returns for her sophomore season with the South Plains College women’s rodeo team as a competitor in both breakaway roping and goat tying. A native of Craig, Colorado, Katie Jo built a decorated high school career, highlighted by a state championship in goat tying, five national qualifications in breakaway and goats, and a qualification at Vegas Toughest.

Ambitious and driven, Katie Jo plans to qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo and pursue a professional rodeo career after her time at South Plains, aiming to be successful on the rodeo road while continuing her academic path in Animal Science.
