LEVELLAND—After day two of the 2016 NJCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the South Plains College Texans and Lady Texans have put themselves in contention to compete for a national crown come Thursday at the Texan Track and Field Stadium in Levelland.
LEVELLAND — Collegiate history was on the brink entering the final day. The South Plains College Texans held a 23-point margin over Iowa Central after day two of the 2016 NJCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships at the Texan Track and Field Stadium in Levelland.
With the regular season schedule complete, South Plains College is set to host the 2016 Outdoor track and field national championship meet on May 17- May 19 at the Texan Track and Field Stadium on the campus of South Plains College in Levelland.
AUSTIN— After racking up 30 NJCAA national qualifying marks in week one of the Outdoor season in El Paso, the South Plains College track and field teams were back in action this weekend at the 2016 Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Meyers Stadium in Austin, Texas.

With over 70 national qualifying marks on tap after four meets, the South Plains College track and field teams will travel to Winton-Salem, North Carolina this weekend to compete in the NJCAA Indoor national tournament, with an opportunity to bring home yet another national crown, which would make number 32 for South Plains head coach Chris Beene.

COLLEGE STATION— The South Plains College men's and women's track and field teams competed in their second indoor competition this weekend at the Charlie Thomas Invitational at Texas A&M University.
