DENISON, TX — The fifth-ranked South Plains College women’s basketball team outlasted #12 Weatherford College Saturday, topping the Lady Coyotes 56-52 at the Grayson College Classic.

DENISON, TX — The fifth-ranked South Plains College women's basketball team outlasted #12 Weatherford College Saturday, topping the Lady Coyotes 56-52 at the Grayson College Classic.
Sophomore Ashala Moseberry led South Plains offensively, netting 20 points, knocking down a trio of 3s. Celia Sumbane controlled the interior for South Plains, posting 14 points, including 12 in the final 20 minutes. Raija Todd scored in double figures for the sixth consecutive game, pouring in 13 points, and was 4 of 5 from the free throw line.
The Lady Texans will be back on the floor on Friday, Nov. 26 when they take on Panola College at the Panola College Classic Nov. 26-27.
