The No. 6 South Plains College Lady Texans knocked down eight 3-pointers and shot 44 percent from beyond the arc to down Ranger College 61-46 in the opening round of the NJCAA Region V Tournament on Wednesday afternoon at the Tiger Pit. Sophomore Brittany Smith scored a game-high 18 points and dished out six assists as the Lady Texans picked up their 10th win in the last 11 contests. Levelland native Elizabeth Cera shot 50 percent from the field knocking down four 3-balls in the contest and finished the game with 14 points in 31 minutes of action.

South Plains picked up its ninth win in the last 10 contests and improved to 26-4 on the year and 11-3 in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference. 12s were wild on Thursday night as sophomores Yanina Inkina, Taylor Holley and Brittany each scored 12 points in the trio's final game at the Texan Dome.

LEVELLAND—Yanina Inkina scored a season-high 26 points as the No. 7 South Plains College Lady Texans downed Clarendon 81-55 to improve to 10-3 in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference on Thursday night at the Texan Dome. "I was able to hit some shots outside, and my teammates helped me find some good shots tonight," Inkina said. "We were trying to move the ball quickly on offense and make plays. You never know when you'll have a game like this, and I was just trying to stay focused and take good shots. I felt pretty good in the first half and just tried to help out my team."

We came out pretty hot, and obviously with our depth right now we got a little tired, but I thought we did a good job of controlling the pace. LEVELLAND—Elizabeth Cera scored 25 points while Brittany Smith finished with 22 points and eight assists as the No. 8 South Plains College Lady Texans pummeled the No. 19 Midland College Lady Chaps 91-57 on Thursday night at the Texan Dome. "We just wanted to come out and get a win," Smith said. "In the first game against them I got ejected, and I was just trying to come back with focus and the right mindset to help out my team. My teammates did a great job finding me for open shots, and it feels good to get this win. Our shots were falling and we were doing a good job of taking clean shots. We just used the personnel that our coaches give us and used it to our advantage."

LEVELLAND, Texas—The No. 7 South Plains College Lady Texans rode Yanina Inkina's 16-point performance to a 68-30 rout of Otero College to improve to 13-1 on Tuesday night at the Texan Dome. Tuesday's win closes out a spectacular first half of the season for the Lady Texans as they picked up their 13th consecutive victory dating back to Nov. 4. The newly released NJCAA rankings were announced at roughly 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday, as the Lady Texans moved up from No. 9 to No. 7 in the country.

LEVELLAND, Texas—The South Plains College Lady Texans fell to West Texas Drive 81-68 on Wednesday night at the Texan Dome. Jasauen Beard, a sophomore transfer from Oral Roberts University led all scorers with 21 points and six rebounds in her debut for the Lady Texans. Elizabeth Cera, a 5-8 guard from Levelland finished with 13 points for South Plains, while Brittany Smith chipped in nine points, while also hauling in five rebounds, dished out five assists and had four steals.
