SPC women earn third straight victory Monday night at Texan Dome

LEVELLAND – The South Plains College Lady Texans earned their third victory of the season Monday night at the Texan Dome, defeating the Lady Rattlers of the Southwest Collegiate Institute for the Deaf 69-30.

TaSheena Moore led three Lady Texans scoring in double figures with 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the field while Whitharral native Mia Ochoa added 11 and Refeegah Fataar chipped in with 10.

As a team, South Plains (3-1) made 29-of-55 shots and outrebounded their opponent by a 37-13 margin.

Next up for the Lady Texans is a road trip to Liberal, Kan. where they will face powerhouses from the Jayhawk Conference.  South Plains will square up with NJCAA No. 19-ranked and host Seward County (2-0) Friday at 6 p.m.  Before returning to Levelland, South Plains will play third-ranked Hutchinson Community College (4-0) at 2 p.m. Saturday.
