Postseason competition begins for SPC cross country teams

EL PASO, Texas - The South Plains College Texan and Lady Texan cross country teams will begin postseason participation with the running of the Region 5 championship meet Saturday in El Paso.
The NJCAA fourth-ranked Lady Texans will lineup for the start of their 5,000-meter race at 10 a.m. CST and the thirteenth-ranked men are scheduled for an 8,000-meter race at 10:45 a.m.
The Region 5 championship meet will be the final tune up for South Plains College before traveling to Ina, Ill. for the NJCAA Cross Country championships Nov. 10.
South Plains will wrap up their season when they host the NJCAA Half Marathon championship and Fun Run on Nov. 17 at the Mallet Event Center. Meet information for the Half Marathon championships can be found at www.spctexans.com.
