Texans Advance With Game 1 Victory
Arizona— The South Plains College Texans picked up their seventh consecutive victory Monday night, downing Williston State College 81-74 in Mesa. The Texan's Che Bob led all scorers with 22 points and nine rebounds, knocking down eight of thirteen shots from the floor. Deontae North finished with 16 points and six boards for South Plains, while Diamante Langston racked up 11 points four rebounds and three assists.

Points in the paint were at a premium for the Texans on Monday night, outscoring their counterpart 46-24 inside. The Texan' defense forced 23 tunrovers in the contest resulting in 25 points on the offensive end of the floor.
Now in the winner's bracket, SPC will take on Baltimore City out of the state of Maryland on Tuesday night with tipoff set for 8 p.m. MST.
