Texans travel to Roswell for a conference matchup with NMMI Thursday

LEVELLAND – The South Plains College Texan basketball team will hit the road for their second conference road game of the season when they take on New Mexico Military at 6:30 p.m. mountain time (7:30 CST) Thursday in Roswell, N.M.

The Texans (17-1, 4-0 WJCAC) are looking to extend their current winning streak to five games.  Since taking over as head coach of the Texans in 2000, Steve Green boasts a 25-2 record when playing the Broncos. 

New Mexico Military (10-6, 0-4) are looking for their first win in league play and have four players contributing double digits to their scoring efforts, led by Joseph Biron with 17.2 points per game. 

Andre Spight leads a balanced scoring attack for the Texans with 16 points per game and is complimented by 13 points per game from Ryan Martin and Roderick Lawrence.  Billydee Williams chips in with 12.
