South Plains Remains Undefeated
South Plains had four players score in double figures, led by Markhuri Sanders-Frison, who had 16 points and also 12 rebounds. David Tairu and Bo Ingram each scored 15 points. Hugh Mingo added 13 for the Texans. Also for SPC, Tramar Sutherland chipped in with five points, Antwain Thomas added three, and Landon Tatum scored two.
On Friday, South Plains faced off against Grayson College and defeated them 77-62 to improve their record to 9-0.
Freshman guard Antwain Thomas came off the bench and nailed six three pointers on his way to a 20 point night to lead the Texans, while David Tairu added 15, Myles Walker chipped in with nine, Markhuri Sanders and Ladarius Hall added eight points each, Hugh Mingo scored six, Allan Thomas five, and Tramar Sutherland and Brandon Pitts each scored two points.
The Texans will be traveling to Snyder, Texas on Wednesday, December 3 to take on Western Texas College in the conference opener. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
South Plains returns home to play Odessa College on Saturday, December 6. Fans who attend this game will be in for a treat as Bo Outlaw will be in attendance and will be inducted into the WJCAC and Texan Hall of Fames at halftime and will be signing autographs after the game.
