
Marietta, Ga. - After earning All-American awards one week ago at the NJCAA Cross Country Championships, Darroneshia Lott and Kirsten Taylor were the top two finishers to cross the finish line of the NJCAA Half-Marathon Championships. The feat not only earned the duo an additional NJCAA All-American award, but also led the Lady Texans to a tie of the championship, finishing with only 12 points. The championship marks the 26th NJCAA Championship South Plains College has won in men's and women's cross country, half-marathon, indoor, and outdoor track and field.

LEVELLAND, Texas - One week after competing in the NJCAA Cross Country Championships in Hobbs, N.M., the South Plains College cross country teams have departed for their final event of the 2011 fall season and will take part in the NJCAA Half-Marathon Championships on Saturday, November 19 in Marietta, Ga. Chattahoochee Technical College is hosting the event.

LEVELLAND, Texas - The South Plains College Texan and Lady Texan cross country teams are primed and ready to perform at the 2011 NJCAA cross country championships, according to head coach Chris Beene. The meet will be hosted by New Mexico Junior College and contested at Ocotillo Golf Course in Hobbs, N.M.

SNYDER, Texas - The No. 6 ranked South Plains College Lady Texan cross country team traveled to Snyder with hopes of making a statement that they are a team to reckon with leading into the NJCAA Championships November 12. They made that statement when Lady Texan runners claimed the top three spots and all five scoring competitors in the top 10.
