
Terry Lehmann begins his fourth year as head athletic trainer at South Plains College.
Before coming to SPC, Lehmann spent three seasons as the head athletics trainer at UT Arlington, serving as the primary trainer for men's basketball as well as overseeing the remainder of the Mavericks' 13 men's and women's intercollegiate athletics sports.
Prior to UTA, Lehmann served as an associate athletic trainer and instructor at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
Lehmann earned a bachelor of science in physical education and exercise science with an emphasis in athletic training at Michigan State University in 1997. He received his masters of science in physical education from Texas Tech University in 2000.
Prior to working at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Lehmann's primary responsibility was the football program while serving as an assistant athletic trainer at Wayne State University from 2001-02, an athletic trainer intern with the Miami Dolphins Football Organization (1999-2000) and a graduate assistant at Texas Tech from 1997-99. At Tech, he was responsible for the women's softball and volleyball programs and was the head football graduate assistant athletic trainer for one season. As a student athletic trainer at Michigan State, he worked with the Spartan football team, men's tennis, track and field and women's soccer.
In addition, he has work experience at the Convenant Medical Center (2000-01).
He is a member of the Southwest Athletic Trainers Association and the National Athletic Trainers Association.
Lehmann has two children, a daughter, Katherine (7) and a son Zachary (3).
