Personal:  Born June 11, 1990 in Twin Falls, Idaho, Katie is the daughter of Mike and Susan Vierstra, owners and operators of a dairy farm.  She has five siblings; Krista (28), Jeremy (27), Cassie (20), Jesse (17), and Cara (13).  Her sister Cassie also competed on the SPC rodeo team from 2007-2009 and was a two time qualifier to the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association Championships.
Katie is a nursing major and has many hobbies, which include playing volleyball, basketball, snowboarding, riding jet ski's, and spending time with her family.
