The South Plains College track and field teams will make a short trip to down Highway 114 on Saturday when they compete in the Texas Tech Invitational at the Terry and Linda Fuller outdoor track and field complex.

The Texans and Lady Texans enter Saturday's meet as they come off quite possibly the most successful Texas Relays the school has ever seen and look to keep the momentum rolling on the Red Raider campus.

Colleen Felix will be the first to compete for SPC when she throws the javelin at 11 a.m.  Running events begin at 5:30 p.m. with the 3,000-meter steeplechase and will follow a rolling schedule.
