LEVELLAND, Texas - The South Plains College Texans (11-7, 1-3) and Lady Texans (12-7, 3-1) will host Frank Phillips College on Monday, January 25th at the Texan Dome. The Lady Texans tip at 5:45 p.m. while the Texans will play at 7:45 p.m.
Monday's contests are sponsored by Best Western South Plains Inns and Suites of Levelland, who has donated a 32 inch Vizio flat screen television that will be raffled off at one of the halftimes. Admission to the game will grant each person one ticket for the raffle and additional tickets can be purchased for $1.00 each at the main entrance of the Texan Dome.
The Lady Texans have found themselves in a battle for the lead in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC) with the Lady Chaps of Midland College. Both teams boast a 3-1 conference record, but Midland defeated SPC on January 14th. The Lady Texans are coming off a big win over 14th ranked Odessa, 54-53.
The SPC Texans look to rebound from a disappointing start to the WJCAC season against a Plainsmen team that is 16-4 overall and 2-2 in conference.
